What you will do
Our FM Systems team is looking for a driven, enthusiastic Trainee/Graduate Building Surveyor. You will be traveling nationwide to collect our client’s asset data, measuring their site plans and existing buildings. You will then feed this back to the Operations team. This is a field-based role which requires national travel and staying away during the week.

How you will do it
1. Collect asset data, which could include room data, M&E, Fire data, furniture, suitability, and condition.
2. Work with the CAD team to resolve queries to ensure customer deadlines are met.
3. Travel nationwide, being away all week, every week. Visit the office occasionally to drop off the week’s work and collect the next week’s. Long-distance travel and Sunday travel may be required.
4. Measure simple site plans using existing OS data.
5. Measure existing buildings with the use of a Leica Disto/BLK2Go, updating existing plans or starting from a clean sheet.
6. Mainly work in public sector buildings, from schools and hospitals to theatres and shops.
What we look for
1. Willingness to travel nationwide for projects and stay away overnight during the week.
2. Hands-on experience with building surveying/measurement.
3. Degree or college background in quantity surveying, building surveying, construction, engineering, and/or design.
4. Knowledge of measuring elevations and topographical surveys using a total station is advantageous. Experience with AutoCAD will also be beneficial.
5. Full UK driving licence is essential.
6. Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
