BioQuell Brand an Ecolab company is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to join its plant Quality team. Our products provide bio decontamination solutions to customers in the life sciences, pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors, using our hydrogen peroxide vapour technology. Overview Of The Role Site based role at the Andover manufacturing site. Reporting to our Quality Manager, you will be part of the Quality team which consists of 5 associates. The role requires working closely with Manufacturing, Product development, Purchasing, Customer services and Suppliers to investigate reported issues by the departments with the aim of improving quality across the site. Responsibilities will include cross-functional program management to qualify new components, supporting issues with current production, developing new suppliers to reduce cost, increase capacity, and auditing suppliers to ensure process conformance to specifications/drawings. To provide on-site assistance & leadership to Ecolab supply base in the execution of New Product Introduction (NPI), the implementation of process control and the deployment of a continuous quality improvement process. To ensure that suppliers are able to meet business requirements for certification and quality of purchased material. What You Will Do Champion problem solving & root cause analysis techniques to identify corrective and preventive actions that eliminate recurrence of non-conformances. Manage Non Conformance Reporting relating to factory/supplier issues. Work to resolve supplier technical issues in a timely manner to ensure continuity of supply. Reviewing supplier reports and working with suppliers to improve quality processes. Actively manage suppliers to ensure no regressions with the implementation of new processes. Verify the implementation of solutions. Aide manufacturing in the evaluation and qualification of new supplier materials following a defined new product development process ensuring that key milestones are met. Assist with the communication of engineering and manufacturing specifications to supply base. Monitor, communicate and improve key performance indicators related to right first time, and customer feedback and complaints. Build and implement supplier audit schedule to ISO 9001 standards, some internal auditing is also required. Manage calibration of equipment within areas of responsibility. Assist in updating and maintaining the QMS. Any other reasonable activities the business requires. Preferred Qualifications Engineering degree or at least 5 years working in a similar role within a Manufacturing Environment. Experience working with suppliers Certified Lead Auditor. Knowledge of investigation techniques Ishikawa/ Kaizen Sound knowledge of 8D/5Y/Lean/FMEA/FAIR/MSA Strong organisational skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills and works well with diverse groups of people and be able to function independently of direct supervision. Advanced computer skills using Microsoft Office Applications. Ability to read engineering drawing.
