Main Responsibilities:
* Project Leadership: Lead the planning, design, and delivery of complex civil engineering projects.
* Technical Oversight: Prepare and supervise detailed designs, engineering calculations, specifications, and reports.
* Team Supervision: Manage, mentor, and oversee the work of multidisciplinary teams.
* Client and Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the primary contact for clients, leading meetings, presentations, and maintaining effective communication.
* Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to UK regulatory requirements, including CDM 2015, BS, and Eurocodes.
* Quality Control and Audits: Establish and maintain quality assurance measures.
* Documentation and Systems Management: Oversee the use of company document management systems.
* Training and Development: Provide coaching and professional development opportunities for junior engineers.
* Health and Safety Leadership: Advocate and enforce compliance with Saith Ltd's Health and Safety policies.
* Strategic Contribution: Contribute to business strategy by identifying growth opportunities in new sectors.
* Innovation and Problem Solving: Drive innovative solutions and problem-solving approaches to overcome complex engineering challenges.
* Resource Management: Manage and allocate resources effectively.
* Cross-Discipline Coordination: Facilitate collaboration across different engineering disciplines.
* Continuous Improvement: Lead initiatives aimed at improving internal processes and promoting best practices.
* Succession Planning: Contribute to career development plans for the engineering team.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering.
* Minimum of 8 years in a senior civil engineering role.
* Chartered Engineer (CEng) status with the Engineering Council UK.
* Proficiency in advanced CAD tools and project management software.
* Strong leadership, communication, and strategic thinking skills.
* Full UK driving licence.
* Experience of UK gas industry design standards and processes beneficial.
