Your role will be instrumental in helping the child feel confident, motivated, and ready to succeed!
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide one-on-one support to a SEN child, helping them engage with class activities and learning tasks.
* Support the child’s emotional and social development, ensuring they feel safe, valued, and part of the class community.
* Adapt teaching materials and approaches to meet the individual needs of the child, under the guidance of the class teacher.
* Assist with classroom management and help ensure a calm, focused, and positive learning environment for all students.
* Encourage independence by helping the child develop their problem-solving skills, communication, and social interactions.
* Collaborate with school staff, including teachers and SENCo (Special Educational Needs Coordinator), to ensure the child’s progress is closely monitored.
* Provide feedback on the child’s progress and well-being to the teaching team and parents when required.
What we’re looking for:
* Experience working with children, particularly those with SEN, is highly desirable but not essential.
* A patient, caring, and approachable personality that helps build trust with children.
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to work closely with children, teachers, and parents.
* A passion for making a positive impact and supporting children with additional needs.
* Proactive and adaptable, ready to meet the unique needs of each child.
