Job Summary
The Catering Department at St David's Hospital is currently looking to recruit a Catering Assistant. The available contract is 1 x 15 hour post.
Working hours are on a four-week rota basis - Monday to Sunday between 4 pm - 7 pm, including Bank Holidays as and when required for which additional payment will be made. There is also an opportunity for extra hours as needed.
The successful candidate will join a small team within the department to provide an effective and efficient cleaning and catering service. The successful candidate will play an integral role in ensuring that food is prepared, delivered, and the department is cleaned to the highest standard.
Main Duties of the Job
Duties will be varied, covering both patient and staff feeding. The post holder will be supported and trained on how to provide a high level of service.
1. Deep cleaning within the kitchen area and cleaning of equipment used during the course of the day.
2. Accepting deliveries into the kitchen, recording temperatures, and putting away in allocated holding areas.
The successful individual will receive uniform and full training.
