Title: Senior Electrical Engineer (Multiple Openings)
Job Summary
Responsible for leading protection and control engineering for utility projects. Specific duties include:
1. Performing detailed review of all existing protection schemes present in the subject area to incorporate into new design;
2. Reviewing contractor provided relay settings, logic diagrams (including Goose messaging diagrams), and operational descriptions for all capital projects;
3. Reviewing and performing area relay coordination and determining what level of area coordination is required/needed (based on changes in fault duty and overall system performance due to the project changes);
4. Reviewing contractor provided relay settings for all temporary builds and construction sequence steps including mobile settings;
5. Reviewing and providing input to Owner's Aspen model changes as required for individual capital projects;
6. Leading overall automation and integration design for all capital projects;
7. Reviewing and designing SCADA point indexes;
8. Reviewing and designing protection settings and settings basis;
9. Reviewing and designing IED Data Maps;
10. Reviewing and creating substation level operational descriptions (HMI operation, relay front panel operation, etc.);
11. Reviewing automated maintenance data gathering (Digital Substation Data) point lists;
12. Tracking all required licenses/firewalls and key automation and integration deliverables needed for project implementation;
13. Providing design support during implementation/testing and commissioning of the above items;
14. Performing constructability review and ensuring adequate automation and integration coverage is available for each outage step.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a closely related field
• 5 years of relay/protection settings engineering experience for utility projects
Annual Salary
$120,848 - 140,000.
