What does this Senior Care Assistant (Nights) job involve?
Hours of Work:42 Hours Per Week - 20:00 - 08:00
As senior care assistant the role is to:
• Support the home manager and his or her Deputy in all aspects of the home’s management, including taking temporary complete charge during the absence of the Home manager or their Deputy.
• Supervise and participate in the delivery of care to the residents.
• Lead on the responsibility of residents individual care documentation ensuring a person centred approach
• Help train junior members of staff in all aspects of their work in the home
• Follow company policy and procedures
• Provide effective leadership for care staff through supervision, support and mentoring in all aspects of care.
• Be responsible for the administration of medication
• Work effectively with others within the home to ensure that resident’s
• Support senior members of staff in all aspects of the homes management.
Main Responsibilities/ requirements:
• To work at all times, within the guidelines of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, Employee Handbook and Company Policy and Procedure
• To attend and contribute to staff meetings when required.
• To maintain confidentiality on all aspects of care and your work within the home, including when you are using Social networking systems
• To have a working knowledge of the homes policies and procedures in respect to your job.
• To be approachable and supportive to staff and managers.
• To attend appropriate training and development sessions as agreed with the Manager.
• To carry out any reasonable duties as requested by the Manager.
• To uphold and promote equal opportunities in employment practice and service delivery.
Am I the right person for this Senior Care Assistant (Nights) job?
• We require you to be a strong team player, someone focussed on support for the staff team and residents.
• You will ideally hold a level 3 diploma in health and social care or the level 2/care certificate and be willing to complete the level 3.
• You will share our values of being the best we can be and ensuring we support residents to have a fulfilling life.
• You will have at least two years Senior or Acting Senior experience.
