ANZUK Education is currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Religious Education Teacher to join a vibrant secondary school in Southampton. This is a fantastic opportunity to shape the educational journey of students, while also teaching Personal, Social, and Health Education (PSHE) to support their well-being and personal development. About the Role: As a Religious Education (RE) Teacher with a secondary focus on PSHE, you will: Plan and deliver engaging lessons across Key Stage 3 and 4 in Religious Education. Develop students’ understanding of various world religions, ethical issues, and philosophical ideas. Deliver PSHE lessons to promote students' personal development, mental health, and well-being. Encourage critical thinking, respectful dialogue, and personal reflection among students. Provide pastoral support and be involved in school initiatives to promote a positive and inclusive learning environment. Key Responsibilities: Teach RE and PSHE effectively, ensuring a high standard of teaching and learning. Support the academic, personal, and emotional development of all students. Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all learners, ensuring that every student reaches their potential. Work closely with colleagues to develop an integrated curriculum approach across both subjects. Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities and school events. Maintain clear communication with parents and guardians to ensure the academic and social progress of students. Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Proven experience teaching Religious Education at Key Stage 3 and 4. Experience or a willingness to teach PSHE, with a passion for supporting students' well-being. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
