The Newt in Somerset
After opening in 2019, The Newt in Somerset has been undergoing rapid development into what it is today - an award-winning, luxury country estate with 3 restaurants, multiple kitchens, acres of vegetable fields and an onsite butchery, bakery and creamery. Our chefs work with some of the freshest and high-quality produce in the UK to produce incredible dishes for our hotel guests and over 50,000 members.

The Botanical Rooms
A contemporary take on British fine-dining, we offer a true farm to fork experience in a beautifully designed, atmospheric 60 cover restaurant. All food is prepared in our kitchen with ingredients fresh from our gardens or locally sourced, ensuring quality and seasonality. Our talented chefs ensure each ingredient is elevated to its highest potential - creating an unforgettable experience. Open for breakfast through to dinner, we offer cream tea in the library and early evening cocktails on the terrace.
The Farmyard Kitchen
A 40-cover restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner using the finest produce from the estate, we cook in a wood fired oven and our chefs serve straight to the table. Seasonally lead, hearty yet humble sharing dishes with wine served in a beautiful stone barn, with relaxed yet high-end service and open kitchen.
The Garden Cafe
Open for breakfast and lunch, the Garden Café menu is inspired by the view
from our restaurant. An ever changing and evolving view over our production
gardens, national collection of apple trees, orchards, and surrounding
countryside far in the distance. All our dishes and ingredients are hand
selected to fit within our concept of vegetable lead dining. Paired by an
outstanding flight of cyder from our own cyder press and sharp and enthusiastic
service, this is a dining venue that offers a refined yet relaxed experience.

Visitor Kitchen
Food and Beverage in the Visitor
Attraction is our welcome to our estate, it is a dynamic department
encompassing all food and beverage offer to our loyal members and day visitors
and the food and beverage for our specialist events throughout the year. Not a
restaurant in the traditional sense but this department produces food and
experiences in a variety of ways. Including for our cyder bar, Garden Lates,
day picnics, regular pop up’s, large specialist events, plus the Roman Villa.
