About the role The Youth Worker will be supporting young people with Special Educational Need’s throughout the school day. Building a strong rapport with the students to encourage them to attend and thrive in school. Following the guidance of the teacher, while taking initiative to manage behaviours within the classroom. Working 8:30 - 15:30 Monday to Friday. Working term time only. About the school Schools are located in and around Bristol. Caters to students with moderate needs, learning difficulties and Social, emotional, and mental health needs. Some schools are easily accessable with parking and transport links, although access to a vehicle would be advantageous. Supportive to staff, running weekly CPD training and team meetings. Requirements To be considered for the role of Youth Worker you will: A relevant Level 3 Qualification such as Health and Social Care, or experience working with indidviduals with challenging behaviours is desired but not required. Able to obtain suitable references and a valid DBS check A non-judgmental and caring approach. Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Willingness to obtain an enhanced DBS certificate.
