Our Client is looking for an experienced, and self-motivated Planner to work with the Estimating and Project teams, keeping in line with the company values. The Office is based in Thornby, Stockton on Tees.
Job Overview:
Seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Construction Planner to join the team.
The Construction Planner will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring construction schedules for a variety of projects.
This role involves close coordination with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that all activities are completed on time, within budget, and to the required standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Schedule Development: Create and manage comprehensive project schedules, including timelines, resource allocation, and milestones.
* Coordination: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure proper sequencing of construction tasks.
* Progress Monitoring: Track the progress of construction activities and ensure that the project is staying on schedule. Update schedules regularly and adjust as necessary to accommodate changes.
* Resource Management: Ensure that all required resources, including labour, equipment, and materials, are available on time and are used efficiently.
* Risk Management: Identify potential risks to the project schedule and work with the project team to develop mitigation strategies.
* Reporting: Prepare and present regular progress reports, highlighting any delays or issues that may impact the project timeline.
* Collaboration: Facilitate communication between different teams and stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
* Budget Management: Assist in budget planning and control, ensuring construction activities are carried out within budget constraints.
* Compliance: Ensure all activities comply with legal, safety, and environmental regulations and standards.
Other:
* Proven experience as a Construction Planner or similar role within the construction industry.
* Strong knowledge of construction processes, project management, and scheduling software Primavera P6
* Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
* Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
* Ability to communicate effectively with team members, clients, and stakeholders.
* Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
