Key Responsibilities: Support individuals to access a range of community activities and services, promoting inclusion and independence. Provide care for individuals' physical, emotional, and social needs in a way that upholds their dignity, choice, and independence. Act as an advocate for individuals, ensuring their voices are heard in all aspects of their daily lives. Provide guidance and support to new staff members. Respond effectively to emergency situations and liaise with relevant professionals as needed. Work collaboratively as part of a team to deliver excellent care and support services. About you Essential Skills and Requirements: Experience: Some experience in community work or social care services (paid or voluntary). Knowledge of issues facing services for individuals with learning disabilities. Skills & Abilities: Effective communication skills, including the ability to converse fluently with members of the public and provide accurate advice. Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in various settings. Flexibility to work shifts, split-shifts, weekends, bank holidays, sleep-ins, and waking night duties as required. Capability to lift, move, and handle individuals using lifting aids (after training) in line with Health and Safety regulations.
