Our client is a global market leader of Fresh and Frozen produce, due to their increasing demand, growth, and development they are seeking to employ a Quality Assurance Technician for their site in Boston to start as soon as possible.
Salary is £29,036.79 per annum - £13.96 per hour.
Overtime paid after 40h. Overtime rate is 1.5 x basic rate. Double pay on Sundays and Bank Holidays.
Weekly pay. Paid 30 min break. PPE provided. Canteen. Parking on site. Location: 20 min walk from the City Centre.
Shift pattern is Monday to Friday 8 hours rotational : 6am – 2pm, 2pm -10pm, 10pm -6am. Shifts rotate on a weekly basis.
Objectives of Role:
Day to day management of the product quality, ensuring it meets or exceeds customer expectations; providing assurance and objective evidence to management and customers that an appropriate level of quality is being achieved.

The role: Reporting to the Technical Auditor you will: always Ensure safety of self and others, complying with all health, safety and environmental policies / procedures for site · Conduct routine quality inspections of all bulk raw materials, intermediate and finished product on site ensuring adherence to site / customers specifications. · Entering data onto site systems, agrim and SAP to determine product grade and status also ensuring product traceability is maintained at all times. · Applying pallet traceability labels in processing area onto pallets, prior to them being transferred to bulk storage areas. · Responsible for routine start up checks, failsafe, and routine testing of metal detection, checkweigher checks and date code of packed stock. · Ensure allergen segregation is maintained at all times when processing/packing · Regular organoleptic testing of product, as required by customer specification · Liaising with Area Manager / Shift Supervisors / Line Technicians if there are any quality concerns or deviation from specification, make recommendations for corrective actions where necessary / applicable. · Organizing and labelling micro samples for routine micro analysis, pesticides, heavy metals, etc. to be sent to the external laboratory/ Kings Lynn. · Collecting and organizing retained samples as required · Supporting the Production team during hygiene windows, cleaning equipment / QA Cabin. Conducting swab tests (ATP/allergens) to verify standards, releasing lines to production teams · Supporting the Technical Auditors during customer and 3rd party visits / audits. · You will be required to work in both repack and process and perform ad hoc duties as required e.g., work on production line.
Job Related Experience/Skills:
