Job overview
The Harrogate Crisis Resolution and Intensive Home Treatment Team are seeking a full part time band 5 practitioners. The post holder will be part of a resilient, welcoming and professional team who work collaboratively with internal and external partners to meet the needs of those who are experiencing a crisis in their mental health needs.
Applicants should already hold NMC registration and have successfully completed their preceptorship programme. Please note: Newly qualified Nurses or those due to qualify will be recruited via a separate process.
Main duties of the job
The team takes a recovery orientated, formulation driven approach which values shared decision making.
The team will be based at The Orchards Ripon, and operates over 24 hours, 7 days a week 12-hour shift working pattern.
The team are able to support newly qualified clinicians through the preceptorship programme.
Successful applicants will be a member of a multi-disciplinary team and there is ample opportunity to develop and enhance your existing clinical skills. You will receive regular supervision and there are good training opportunities.
As a member of the team you will provide a service to those individuals who present with a mental health crisis who may require a period of crisis intervention as an alternative to admission. The team are also responsible for gatekeeping admissions to the acute admission ward as well as supporting bed management.

* To be recognised practice assessor / mentor or work towards in an agreed timescale

* Communicate complex and sensitive information effectively to patients, carers/families and all members of the multidisciplinary team

* Co-ordinate and prioritise the activities of the ward/community team
