Skanska has been appointed to the North West and Central Framework and allocated a bridge replacement project in Clifton, Penrith, Cumbria on the West Coast Mainline over the M6 Motorway.
We are looking for a Health, Safety & Wellbeing Manager to join our Infrastructure team in Penrith/Liverpool (roaming).
What you'll do:
* Responsible to the Senior Health, Safety & Wellbeing Manager, advising on project compliance with the HSMS and statutory provisions.
* Build trusted partnerships with customer and supply chain to contribute to customer success and meet expectations in particular relation to health, safety and wellbeing.
* Ensure all elements of the Network Rail principal contractor license and other requirements i.e., RISQS, are understood and complied with at project level.
* Lead a project team of Health and Safety professionals delivering an elevated level of performance, providing guidance and mentoring for their professional development.
* Review quality of work including audits, inspections and incident investigation reports.
What you'll bring to the role:
* Experience in working with a wide range of stakeholders and interested parties including senior management.
* Strong rail background.
* Level 5 academically recognised qualification or above (i.e., Diploma/Degree/NVQ) relating to health, safety and wellbeing.
* Chartered membership of IOSH (CMIOSH) or working towards this.
