Implementation Manager - Comms Systems
Our client, a leading consultancy in the rail industry, is seeking experienced Implementation Managers to join their team at Heathrow. This is a contract role, operating inside IR35 with umbrella PAYE. With a focus on comms systems, you will play a vital role in delivering successful projects for both internal and external clients at Heathrow.
The Role
As an Implementation Manager, you will provide effective project implementation support, ensuring compliance with project standards and processes. You will be responsible for managing requests for project implementation resources across various projects of varying complexity and value. This role will require you to work a minimum of 4 days per week at Heathrow.
Key Responsibilities
1. Work within agreed project processes and standards to support the Project Delivery Practice at Heathrow
2. Manage suppliers and ensure adherence to project processes
3. Identify future demands and obtain necessary resources/services
4. Produce regular reports and maintain project documentation
5. Manage the smooth handover of projects to relevant departments
6. Coordinate with planning supervisors, construction managers, and airport clients
7. Meet with clients to discuss requirements and agree on project scope and timeline
8. Collaborate with relevant groups within Heathrow Airport Ltd for successful project outcomes
9. Create work packs for framework delivery partners
10. Attend progress meetings and represent Comms/IT systems interests
11. Provide necessary documentation for ongoing support of new installations
Experience and Skills
12. Excellent communication skills
13. Self-motivated and able to work well within a team
14. Strong experience in Telecoms or Networking support
15. Broad knowledge of specialised telecoms services, particularly in an airport environment
16. Specific knowledge of network products and suppliers is advantageous
17. Experience with real environment deployments is advantageous
18. LAN technology experience is essential
19. Wireless technology experience is advantageous
20. Experience with CCTV and Access Control systems is advantageous
21. At least 2 years of operational experience in IT, Network, or Engineering
22. Formal education to C&G, HNC, or A-level standard
23. Formal project management, network technology, or IT systems training is desirable
24. Proficient in MS Project, MS Visio, MS Excel, and MS Word
