Role
:
As the Head of Finance, you will be responsible for providing strategic financial guidance to the Head of School, Bursar, and Board of Governors. Your main focus will be on financial management, including cash flow, budgeting, and risk management. You will lead and manage a team of finance professionals, ensuring the smooth running of the finance function.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide strategic guidance and advice on all financial matters to the senior leadership team
2. Develop and implement effective financial policies and procedures
3. Manage the budgeting and forecasting process, and prepare monthly management accounts
4. Oversee payroll and administer the school's pension schemes
5. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and legislation
6. Liaise with external auditors and professional advisors
7. Manage the School's insurance policies and procurement processes
About You:
8. Proven experience in a senior finance role, ideally within the education sector
9. Strong leadership and project management skills
10. Excellent financial analysis and reporting abilities
11. Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance
12. Proficient in using financial management software
13. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
