Job Title: Secretary
Location: St Albans
Salary: £22,000-£30,000
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am-5:15pm
Company Profile:
We are looking for an organised and proactive Secretary to join my client's team. You will support solicitors with client cases, administrative tasks, and file management.
Responsibilities:
·Assist with conveyancing transactions, including sales, purchases, and remortgages
·Draft legal documents, prepare applications, and manage case files
·Liaise with clients, estate agents, lenders, and other third parties
·Process payments, handle correspondence, and ensure accurate record-keeping
·Provide excellent client service and assist with general administrative duties
·Maintain and update internal systems to track case progress
·Organise meetings, manage diaries, and support solicitors with day-to-day tasks
Requirements:
·Experience in a conveyancing or legal admin role (preferred)
·Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise workload
·Excellent written and verbal communication skills
·IT literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and case management systems
·Fast, accurate typing and attention to detail
·Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced legal environment
