Area Sales Representative
Job Title: Area Sales Representative
Location: Home-Based, with travel across the designated territory
Reporting To: Sales Manager
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 16:30 (additional hours as required)
Main Responsibilities
Ponsse UK LTD are looking for a self-motivated and driven salesperson to cover Scotland specialising in the sales of Cut to Length forestry equipment.
1. Brand Promotion: Represent and promote Ponsse and its products within the forestry industry. Wear issued corporate clothing.
2. Customer Interaction: Answer phone calls and greet visitors politely.
3. Corporate Representation: Maintain a tidy appearance as the public face of Ponsse UK Ltd.
4. Enquiry Management: Follow up on and generate enquiries for Ponsse products and services.
5. Customer Engagement: Create call plans and reports for regular face-to-face contact with customers.
6. Travel Requirements: Be prepared to travel and stay overnight for effective customer contact.
7. Flexibility: Adapt working hours as needed to fulfill role requirements.
8. Target Achievement: Strive to meet and exceed targets and budgets.
9. Event Participation: Set up and attend shows, events, and roadshows.
10. Product Demonstration: Organize demonstrations of Ponsse products.
11. Order Processing: Handle received orders from customers.
12. Used Machinery Marketing: Market used forestry machinery received against new deals.
13. Inspection and Documentation: Inspect used machines and create job sheets.
14. Record Keeping: Maintain records as required by the department.
15. Safety Compliance: Work safely and maintain a tidy workplace, adhering to company and site rules, procedures, and policies.
16. Team Collaboration: Follow the One Ponsse principles and support colleagues within the department.
17. Training: Undertake required training to effectively carry out the role.
18. Incident Reporting: Cooperate with management during investigations and report any incidents or near misses.
