Job Description
Position Overview
ProfessionLX specializes in professional services where we engage our employees to empower them to excel for our customers. We are currently seeking Ministry Coordinator candidates to join our team in support of the 48th Fighter Wing at RAF Lakenheath. This position will plan, coordinate, and implement the AMC/Hope Spiritual Fitness Initiative for the RAF Lakenheath Chaplain Corps.
What you will do:
1. Recruit, train, and equip volunteers to serve in the AMC/HOPE. The AMC/HOPE Coordinator will support other Chapel sponsored events by advertising and recruiting volunteers as needed. This includes recruiting and training volunteer leadership through mentorship and leadership training, maintaining volunteer records and contact lists, ensuring volunteers sign all required documents such as the Volunteer Agreement and NDA, managing volunteer training, and reporting volunteer hours and events to the program manager.
2. Manage the day-to-day operations of the AMC/HOPE Spiritual Fitness Initiative program to include cleanliness, maintenance, supplies, etc. to support the AMC. In this role you will ensure the AMC atmosphere is spiritually-based, alcohol-free, relaxing and inclusive, ensure the AMC is clean, inviting and in good repair, ensure sufficient supplies are maintained, ensure HOPE activities are aligned with the Community Action Board and base units, develop and maintain a handbook to set standards and volunteer requirements, and train unit leadership and community leaders on the capabilities, roles and responsibilities of HOPE volunteers.
3. Generate publicity for all HOPE events, as approved by the Wing Chaplain. To do this, you will meet weekly with the HOPE Religious Support Team, plan and coordinate HOPE events and programs, develop and budget an annual calendar of events, process request forms to schedule the chapel facilities, and coordinate publicity in base publications, marquee, AF Connect, etc.
Requirements
What you will bring:
1. Minimum of 2 years working in a ministerial setting.
2. General office administrative and clerical skills
3. Minimum 2 years experience and practical experience in Microsoft Office programs.
4. Ability to constructively work well with others in a multi-faith environment.
5. Ability to efficiently organize and manage diverse program elements such as personnel, budget, record-keeping.
6. Proficient in the use of social media, print and email marketing.
7. Able to read, write, and speak English well.
