Learning Support Assistant – ADHD Focus – Redbridge A school in Redbridge is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant with a focus on supporting students with ADHD. This role involves working 1:1 and in small groups, helping students manage attention challenges and succeed in their academic journey. With a dedicated SEN team, the school provides personalised support to ensure each child has the tools and encouragement needed to succeed academically and socially. Responsibilities: Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with ADHD, helping them manage attention and focus in the classroom. Assist teachers in adapting lessons and materials to meet the individual needs of students with ADHD. Help students develop strategies to manage their behaviour, stay on task, and engage in learning activities. Work closely with the SENCO and teaching staff to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behavioural strategies. Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to teachers, parents, and the SEN team. Support positive behaviour and help students build social skills and self-confidence. Experience and Qualifications: Experience working with students with ADHD or similar attention-related challenges in a school or care setting. Strong understanding of ADHD and strategies to support students with attention and behaviour management. A patient, supportive, and adaptable approach to working with students who require additional assistance. Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with teachers, staff, and parents. Relevant qualifications in SEN support or teaching assistance are desirable.
