Maintenance Engineer
Location: Stoke
Salary: £45,970
Schedule:
Week 1 - Monday - Friday 8am-4pm / Sunday - 12pm - 8pm.
Week 2 - Monday - Thursday - 4am-12pm.
Job Summary
Multi-skilled Maintenance with both mechanical and electrical responsibilities. Reporting to the Site Manager/Supervisor, the Engineer will be eager though safety conscious, with a track record of owning problems and taking them through to successful completion.
Key Responsibilities
1. Day to day maintenance of site MHE to a high standard.
2. Continuously improve all aspects of new and old equipment, being health and safety conscious.
3. Work against timeframes to complete reactive repairs.
4. Interact with on-site management, keeping them informed of repair and maintenance progression and addressing their concerns professionally.
5. Service and repair current installed products, demonstrating hands-on ownership of issues to achieve fast resolutions.
6. Interpret electrical circuit diagrams and work with 415V motor controls.
7. Appreciate Health & Safety considerations and carry out risk assessments.
8. Demonstrate mechanical aptitude, including the ability to read assembly drawings.
9. Operate hand tools and assemble parts onto equipment.
10. Follow set up instructions, assembly drawings, and checklists.
11. Provide excellent customer service skills for both internal and external customers.
12. Appreciate control systems.
13. Be willing to learn and adapt to changing role requirements.
14. Appreciate Cultural Diversity.
15. Effectively present a KPI based monthly review to key stakeholders.
Skills, Qualifications, and Experience
1. NVQ/BTEC/C&G Level 3 in an Electro-Mechanical Engineering discipline.
2. Understanding of PLC's and their function.
3. Pneumatic and Hydraulic knowledge is beneficial.
4. Computer literate with basic Microsoft Office skills.
5. Experience with CMMS systems and engineering stores.
6. HNC/HND equivalent is desirable.
Experience in the following will be advantageous:
Distribution, FMCG, Automation, Manufacturing, Production, Conveyors, Machinery, Material Handling, Baggage Handling, Packaging Machinery, Cranes, MHE, Airports, PLC's / Control Systems, Pneumatics, Hydraulics, Motors, Drives, Navy, Army, RAF, REME, Marines, Armed Forces.
