At Forth Ports, we have an opportunity for a motivated individual the chance to kick-start their career within IT Project Management as part of our Graduate cohort. Over two years, you will gain experience in coordinating IT projects by managing tasks, timelines, budgets, and risks, while ensuring clear stakeholder communication, efficient resource allocation, and hands-on learning in project management methodologies.
You will undertake a professional qualification and will also be part of a learning pathway where you’ll cultivate your emotional intelligence and leadership abilities, while also gaining insight into maintaining a healthy work life balance. There will be key learning opportunities, including presentation and communication skills and you’ll also have time to develop your personal values and style, whilst being the flag carriers for the Forth Ports values that underpin our business. By the end of the programme, you’ll be ready to transition into a permanent role in the business.
We will hold our assessment day for this role on Monday 24th March 2025 at the Port of Grangemouth, where you will have the chance to meet some of the team and to find out more about the role and the graduate scheme. We will be in touch before then to let you know if you have been selected to attend.
About The Role
What you will learn:
* Project Coordination: Assist in planning, executing, and closing IT projects. This includes planning, coordinating and assigning tasks, managing timelines, budgets and risks, and ensuring project milestones are met.
* Stakeholder Communication: Act as a liaison between project teams and stakeholders, ensuring clear and effective communication to align project goals and expectations.
* Resource Management: Help in allocating resources efficiently, including personnel, technology, and budget, to ensure project success.
* Learning and Development: Gain hands-on experience and training in project management methodologies, tools, and best practices, while working under the guidance of experienced project managers.
