Business Analyst II - PolicyCenter (Hybrid - Belfast)

The Role
They are looking for a Business Analyst to join their growing PolicyCenter team, supporting mission-critical projects in policy administration, risk setup, system migrations, and product enhancements. This role is ideal for someone with strong technical business analysis experience, particularly in Guidewire PolicyCenter, who enjoys working in collaborative, cross-functional teams.
The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders, developers, and solution architects to translate business needs into structured solutions, using mapping techniques, process flows, design tables, and structured documentation. This is an opportunity for a technically minded business analyst to contribute to complex system changes in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Work with business and technology teams to define and document system change requests.
* Own the business analysis process for new policy types, risk setups, system migrations, and code revamps.
* Collaborate with developers and solution architects to design integrations with internal and external systems.
* Analyse the impact of system changes on business workflows, ensuring smooth transitions.
* Act as a liaison between stakeholders, development teams, and support teams.
* Lead UAT sessions, working closely with QA teams to ensure all changes are validated before deployment.
* Support production issue triage, helping the operations team resolve tickets and defects.
What We're Looking For
* Guidewire PolicyCenter experience is essential, with strong knowledge of policy administration systems and workflows.
* A technical mindset with experience in system integrations, APIs, process automation, and defect tracking.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to create structured documentation such as mappings, process flows, wireframes, and design tables.
* A proven ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders across business and technical teams.
* Experience working within an agile framework, supporting cross-functional teams in a structured development lifecycle.
* A problem-solving approach with the ability to take ownership of business analysis tasks and deliver clear solutions.
Location & Working Setup
* Candidates must be Belfast-based or willing to relocate.
* 3 days per week in the office.
