Supply Chain & Governance Technician

The Supply Chain & Governance Technician will report on a day-to-day basis to the Supply Chain & Governance Coordinator and functionally to the Head of Operational Excellence and Business Management.
Key Responsibilities
* Sourcing and Procurement:
o Prepare requests for quotes, ensuring adherence to procurement policies and guidelines.
o Handle consumables, expendables, and general procurement orders.
o Manage internal purchasing requirements in systems like SAP and MySupply, converting them into purchase requisitions and orders.
o Post goods receipts for services and non-consumable items, ensuring timely invoice processing.
o Monitor purchase orders to ensure compliance and completion.
* System and Record Management:
o Create and maintain internal records for all purchase requisitions and orders.
o Generate procurement KPIs and reports.
o Manage user profiles for procurement portals to enable staff requests for uniforms or PPE.
* Supplier Coordination:
o Maintain daily contact with suppliers to resolve issues and ensure smooth operations.
o Support supplier performance management, including monitoring KPIs, launching improvement activities, and implementing risk mitigation plans.
o Conduct weekly orderbook reviews with consumable suppliers.
* Process Improvement:
o Provide input to the definition and implementation of procurement-related processes and procedures.
o Support the demand planning cell in maintaining optimal stock levels through parameter optimization in SAP.
o Address discrepancies in delivery and paperwork with suppliers.
* Financial Support:
o Assist finance staff with budgetary controls, including data provision for procurement plans and expenditure forecasts.
o Address late commitments, blocked invoices, and other financial issues related to procurement.
* Collaboration and Reporting:
o Coordinate with internal stakeholders to address procurement requirements and review budgets.
o Contribute to internal and external procurement reporting and updates.
Required Skills and Experience
Essential:
* Over 3 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management.
* Proficiency in SAP.
* Strong knowledge of MS Office tools.
* Advanced English proficiency, both written and verbal.
* Excellent planning and organizational skills.
* BPSS+ clearance & SC Clearance needed to continue in the role.
Desirable:
* Experience with MySupply or similar procurement tools.
