Our Purchasing team play a key role in procuring cost effectivematerials for production and services for the business.
We currently have an excellent opportunity for a Purchasing Manager tojoin our head office, Cowick Hall in East Yorkshire. In this role, you will act as a business partner to project andsteering teams to ensure the relevant process are being followed and that Crodais getting value for money in its external purchases. This includes ensuring astrategic sourcing approach to supplier engagement, facilitation of projectbids, negotiation of pricing, contract execution, risk mitigation, and suppliermanagement activities for indirect projects in Europe. You will engage withprojects during pre-NPI scoping to understand the projects needs and to helpshape the appropriate procurement strategies. You will also beresponsible for coaching other members of the Purchasing team.

Essentials:
10. Previous experience of purchasing indirect commodities, energy and freight
11. Proven negotiation skills
12. Excellent planning and organisation skills to ensure continuous supply of materials
13. An excellent communicator and influencer, capable of building effective working relationships
14. Proven networking skills
15. Track record of delivering results
16. The ability to identifynew sources of supply
Desirables:
17. Experience of purchasing chemicals
18. Experience working with crop growing contracts
19. SAP user experience (inc Ariba)
20. CIPS Qualified
21. Educated to degree level
22. Understanding of EU/UK REACh regulations
23. Experience of departmental and/or line management
24. Business ProcessImprovement experience
