Position: Graduate Project Manager
Location: Edgbaston, Birmingham
Salary : 26-33k pending experience + Benefits
About the Role:
This is a great opportunity for a motivated and ambitious graduate to begin their career with a well-established, independent construction and property consultancy. The role provides hands-on experience across a diverse range of sectors — including commercial, industrial, residential, education, and retail — working alongside a supportive and experienced team on projects from inception to completion.
You will play a key role in supporting project delivery from inception through to completion, gaining invaluable experience in all stages of the project lifecycle. This is an ideal opportunity for a recent graduate looking to start a long-term career in Project Management within a consultancy environment.
What You'll Be Doing:
* Supporting Project Managers and Associate Directors in delivering a variety of construction and development projects
* Attending client and contractor meetings and preparing meeting minutes and reports
* Assisting with contract administration duties under JCT and NEC forms of contract
* Helping to prepare project programmes, cost plans, procurement documentation, and risk registers
* Monitoring project progress and assisting with the preparation of project status reports
* Undertaking site visits and helping to manage relationships with contractors, consultants, and clients
* Working toward professional accreditation (e.g., RICS, APM, CIOB) with full support
What We’re Looking For:
* A degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying, or a related built environment discipline
* A genuine interest in developing a career in construction consultancy
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* Willingness to learn, take responsibility and work collaboratively within a team
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with MS Project or similar software is an advantage
* A proactive, professional, and client-focused attitude
