Procurement & Supply Chain Manager (Bids)
Location: Fareham
Duration: 12 months initially
Rate: Up to £450 per hour (Outside IR35)
Must currently hold SC clearance or be eligible for it
Duties and Responsibilities:
Active member of the bid senior leadership team, ensuring that P&SC priorities are represented at the right level.
Early engagement with stakeholders to understand upcoming priorities, allowing the development of robust and innovative procurement strategies that drive value and operational performance.
Collaborating with operational teams and subject matter experts to build robust statement of requirements and proposed solutions, allowing for effective RFP/RFQ/tendering processes.
Detailed market scanning, analysis and engagement to identify suitable supply chain partners.
Investigating current supply chain provision across the contracts and looking to implement changes which align with Group 'best practice' and deliver value.
Securing long-term contractual arrangements with key and strategic suppliers which give the business certainty, value generation and contractual protection.
Key Responsibilities:
Contributing to governance reviews and presenting the supply chain elements of the solution.
Development of supplier relationship management (SRM) strategy, including establishing regular programme of supplier meetings to foster strong relationships and drive high performance.
Comprehensive approach to risk management, maintaining a risk register which captures and mitigates all P&SC-borne risks.
Creating and delivering sustainable value - increasing quality, service, capability and ESG compliance whilst reducing cost, working capital and lead times.
Providing leadership and education to operational teams, ensuring that key stakeholders understand and adhere to P&SC practices, policies and processes.
Delivering resilience, support and best practice sharing across the Land Training business as required.
Implementing and delivering on the Group / Land P&SC strategy and objectives.
Travel to operational sites and team meetings across the UK, when required. Qualifications & Experience:
Extensive Commercial and contracts acumen with previous experience in a Commercial or Contract Management role, or placing contracts with suppliers
Extensive procurement experience from sourcing to contract placement
Extensive multi-stakeholder management experience
Supplier performance management experience - improving relationships and focusing on operational delivery
Previous experience of working in large organisations with areas of category managed
