We are excited to be working with a growing business who requires a commercially focused, innovative Financial Controller to join their thriving, growing business. The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant ideally with a year or 2 post qualification experience in industry. Due to high growth over the last few years, and anticipated further growth plans, my client is looking for a qualified accountant to join the existing team and be a part of the companies succession plans. The successful candidate will demonstrate a natural commercial outlook, have excellent communication skills and have a hunger for professional and career development.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Working closely with the senior management team you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and production of monthly management and financial reporting
Presenting accounts and budgets to senior management team
Analysis and reporting on results
In-depth variance analysis of accounts and making commercial recommendations to improve results
Overseeing all aspects of the finance team including payroll, invoicing, credit control and VAT returns
Working closely with auditors and any other external stakeholders
Ongoing process improvement on systems, reporting and ad hoc projects
Leading and developing the finance team
What do you need to be considered?
A professional accountancy qualification
1-5 years’ experience in a fast-paced finance role dealing with financial and management accounts ideally within an SME
A natural commercial flair
Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to communicate with all levels of staff
Drive, ambition and a willingness to do what it takes to get the job done!
