Prospero Teaching is looking for a dedicated SEMH primary teacher to join the team at our client SEMH School based in Havant.
Although the role is Primary Teaching, you will be working with pupils aged 11-16 years old. These pupils will be working towards the Primary syllabus to suit their level of learning ability.
As a SEMH Teacher, you will:
* Provide high-quality, personalised teaching utilising therapeutic approaches to support students with SEMH needs.
* Design and conduct lessons that enhance student's social, emotional, and academic growth.
* Establish a secure, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment.
* Work collaboratively with families, carers, and professionals to achieve positive outcomes for students.
* Effectively manage behaviour and encourage positive learning attitudes.
* Track, assess, and document student progress to guide teaching and set goals.
* Include outdoor and diverse learning experiences to fully engage students.
* Ensure the welfare of students and adhere strictly to Child Protection Protocols.
* Engage in professional development and share knowledge with colleagues.
* Adapt flexibly to meet the varying needs of students and the school's requirements.
About you:
1. You have qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
2. Proven experience working with children with special educational needs.
3. Strong leadership and management skills.
