To support our progress, we are currently recruiting for a Production Operatives to join our Nostell Site to come and join our team at our West Yorkshire WF4 1QH Key Duties & Areas of Responsibility for Role: Health & Safety Promote a positive Health & Safety (H&S) and Environmental culture by following ALL training and adhering to ALL H&S and Environmental policies, procedures and protocols at all times, reporting any and all hazards or issues immediately. To monitor your work area and ensure the workplace is safe and a ?clean as you go' policy is maintained at all the times. Assist in the development of Standard Safe Operating Procedures (SSOP's) and Risk Assessments (RA's). Participate in H&S improvement initiatives. People Ability to work as part of a team or on own initiative. Work towards objectives and your own personal development plan. Quality Promote a positive quality culture by following ALL training and highlighting quality issues immediately. To ensure that all finished product meets customer specifications, focussing on "right first time" and positive releasing product as required. Process & Performance Undergo training to become a multi-skilled / functional, cross departmental Operative within 18 months, learning completely new production processes. Operation of the latest in process technology, Human Machine Interfaces (HMI's), Robotics, Vision Quality Camera Systems, Tablet Interfaces and Thermal Equipment. Accurate data entry and recording of production and downtime data in the Ibstock Manufacturing System (IMS). Achieve and maintain all required targets in line with company and divisional Key Performance Indicators (KPI's); such as, H&S, Quality, Performance, Service, Delivery, Cost, and House Keeping etc. To deliver through process improvement and Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives. Participation in audits and audit reviews for H&S, Quality, Performance, 5S etc. Creating and maintaining the highest standards of 5S housekeeping and environmental management - setting and maintaining physical and visual standards. Participate in Tier 1 shift start up meetings highlighting key issues and be part of suggesting solutions to key challenges. Participate in CI initiatives. Training on and operation of mobile plant / Mechanical Handling Equipment (MHE) as required. Engineering Assist with Engineering when required building basic mechanical skills to allow safe Operator led basic maintenance activities and change-overs. Raise Engineering work instructions whilst in work to identify maintenance needs and operational improvements on the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Identify process improvements highlighting them to the Production Team Leader and Production Manager. To ensure the best interests of the Company are always maintained. Essential Qualifications & Experience: Excellent timekeeping, attendance and flexibility Self-motivated Numerate & literate Team working "One Team" attitude Ability to also work alone Excellent communication skills Good level of H&S awareness Ability to learn to operate ALL key automated manufacturing equipment and mobile plant / MHE Willingness to undergo further training and development, having a growth mind-set in terms of your own development and participation in ALL site initiatives Desirable Qualifications & Experience: Experience of working in a CI environment. Being a certified and licenced counterbalance Fork Lift Truck (FLT), mobile plant / MHE driver is advantageous.
