As a Sales Account Manager, you will be pivotal in driving revenue growth by managing and expanding relationships with clients, identifying new business opportunities, and delivering tailored solutions to meet customer needs. This role combines account management and sales development, requiring a results-driven professional with excellent interpersonal skills and a strong understanding of expense management systems. Please note this is a Hybrid role with minimum 1 day per week based in our Farnborough office. Key responsibilities: Client Relationship Management: Build and nurture long-term relationships with key stakeholders in client and partner organisations. Identify the DMU in each organisation and meet with clients as required. (Virtually or in person). Act as the primary point of contact for client accounts, addressing queries and ensuring satisfaction. Also as a point of escalation for support, identifying which issues are a business priority to raise to management. Act as the primary point of contact internally for this regions client base. Sales Development: Identify and engage prospective clients through market research, networking, and lead generation activities. Present and demonstrate expense management solutions to potential customers, tailoring pitches to their needs. Negotiate contracts and close deals to achieve sales targets. Manage and respond to RFI’s/RFPs, as required Manage supplier onboarding for new clients, in collaboration with the Solution Architect, before hand over to Implementation. Account Growth: For top 10% of clients, manage and prioritise key activities with ownership, and agree regular reviews. Provide quarterly business reviews to top accounts Work with Solutions Architect to identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities within existing accounts. Collaborate with clients to identify pain points and propose additional services or enhancements. Identify opportunities for case studies, and collaborate between client and marketing to produce material. Manage comms to client base in collaboration with product, marketing and support. About you: Proven track record in sales or account management, ideally in software/SaaS or expense management solutions. Experience managing a portfolio of B2B clients across various industries. Strong negotiation, presentation, and communication skills. Ability to identify customer needs and translate them into actionable solutions. Proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of expense management, financial processes, or compliance is an advantage. Results-driven, with a proactive approach to sales and account management. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
