Job summary We are looking to appoint two Whole time Specialty Doctors in the Integrated Geriatric and Stroke Medicine directorate at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidates may be expected to work at both campuses in the Trust. The posts are for commencement in August 2025 for two years duration. All posts will include an element of out of hours working. It is anticipated this will include contribution to the general internal medicine hospital out of hours rota. This will be discussed at the point of offer. The directorate would be keen to support an appropriate candidate through the Speciality doctor role to Specialist or Consultant-level practice as appropriate. Any candidate who is unable for personal reasons to work full-time will be eligible to be considered for the post; if such a person is appointed, modification of the job content will be discussed on a personal basis with the Trust in consultation with consultant colleagues. Main duties of the job The successful candidates would join one of the ward teams at either the Northern General or Royal Hallamshire hospitals. Some posts may move between wards and teams depending on the needs of the directorate at the time.
