To help us, we wish to appoint an exceptional, motivated Qualified Teacher of the Vision Impaired (QTVI), to join our new Sensory Impairment Resource Base.
You will have experience of working with students with vision impairment and have a track record of high-quality inclusive practice.
You will be responsible for specialist assessment, planning and curriculum access for students with vision impairments (VI).
You will provide specialist knowledge and advice to children and young people, educational providers, and families to enable them to fully support their VI needs and to enable equitable access to education, learning, life skills and prepare for adulthood.
The successful candidate will work collaboratively to deliver this personalised approach to education in line with the SEND Code of Practice, NATSIP and statutory duties for those with vision impairments.
You will need to hold the Mandatory Qualification for Teaching children and young people with a Vision Impairment (QTVI). This post requires recent and relevant teaching experience along with a secure knowledge of inclusive practice and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
