Well presented letter outlining skills, experience and educational philosophy
Graduate in relevant subject with Qualified Teacher Status able to teach French at KS1 and KS2
Recent relevant CPD
Minimum of 2 years experience as a teacher across KS1/2
Proven ability as an outstanding teacher of MFL with the French language
Excellent, up-to-date subject knowledge of the whole curriculum for primary age range
Experience of meeting the needs of pupils with a variety of learning needs
Experience of tracking pupil progress and using data to inform lesson planning
Ability to support the professional development needs of colleagues
Knowledge of approaches to school self-evaluation
Experience in the delivery of CPD
Experience in a management role
Excellent knowledge of IT within the curriculum and as a management tool
Ability to communicate effectively with a range of audiences, both verbally and in writing
Ability to employ a range of teaching methods and adjust these to meet individual pupil need
Ability to promote a high standard of literacy, articulacy and proper use of standard English within lessons
Ability to provide effective and constructive feedback to pupils
Ability to motivate and manage all pupils effectively
Ability to create effective and positive working with colleagues and senior staff
Ability to establish and maintain an appropriate environment for learning in the classroom
What the school offers its staff
Hounslow Heath School is a large highly successful new primary school, following the amalgamation of two outstanding schools, and is looking to appoint an ambitious, hardworking and talented teacher of Modern Foreign Languages specialising in French. You will work as part of a great team and deliver high quality lessons to our Year 3, Year 4, Year 5 and Year 6 pupils.

KEY PURPOSE
• To teach French for MFL across the primary phase and ensure that planning, preparation, recording assessment and reporting meet pupils’ varying learning and social needs
• To lead the subject area of MFL across the school through the effective auditing, resourcing, evaluating and developing of the provision; introducing and implementing new ideas and practices where appropriate
• Engage with CPD, whole school INSET and school development as part of a dynamic subject lead
• Promote a love of languages and an understanding of the importance of becoming a global citizen
• Maintain the positive ethos and core values of the school, both inside and outside the classroom
• Contribute to constructive team-building amongst teaching and non-teaching staff, parents and governors
• Ensure that the current national conditions of employment for school teachers are met
