Job Details An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Occupational Therapist to join the Community Occupational Therapy Team working with adults and older people in their home environments. The successful applicant will be responsible for undertaking outcome focused assessments to identify intervention that will maintain/promote optimum independence and reduce risk as appropriate to individuals. The successful candidate will be required to demonstrate excellent clinical skills and experience in a range of conditions to manage a varied and complex case load. A key deliverable of this post is to support people to engage and participate in meaningful activities of daily living, facilitating improved health and wellbeing. The successful post holder will contribute to the delivery of targeted interventions based on population need and evidence-based practice. You will work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders and be a highly motivated and reflective practitioner with excellent communication skills. The Person If you meet the essential qualification criteria outlined below; we would like to hear from you: You must be educated to SCQF level 9 which includes a degree, or equivalent, in Occupational Therapy. Registered with Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). Experience of working with older people or adults with disabilities. Effective communication skills and evidence of capacity to use clinical reasoning to; make independent decisions; accept responsibility for actions and use initiative within parameters of responsibility. Experience and skills in effective multi-disciplinary team working. Ability to use computer-based systems and maintain comprehensive client recording and documentation. Ability to travel within Fife. Before confirming to your appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland.
