Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Support and Protection Social Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will work three days per week on-site in [Your Location Here] and two days remotely from home. During duty weeks, you will be responsible for responding to urgent cases and ensuring the protection and support of children and families in need.
Key Responsibilities:
Case Management:
Manage a caseload of children and families requiring support and protection services.
Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans.
Monitor and review care plans regularly to ensure the safety and well-being of children.
Crisis Intervention:
Respond promptly to urgent cases during duty weeks.
Provide immediate support and intervention to children and families in crisis.
Collaborate with other services and stakeholders to coordinate emergency responses.
Advocacy and Support:
Advocate for the rights and needs of vulnerable children and families.
Provide emotional and practical support to children and families.
Facilitate access to appropriate services and resources.
Collaboration:
Work closely with colleagues, healthcare providers, schools, and community organizations.
Attend and contribute to multi-agency meetings and case conferences.
Maintain accurate and timely records of all interactions and interventions.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work.
Registered with Social Work England (or equivalent).
Minimum of 3 years of experience in child protection and family support.
Strong understanding of relevant legislation and best practices.
Excellent communication, assessment, and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
