Key Role at Bournemouth Airport
We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Airport Duty Manager to join our Customer Service Leadership team at Bournemouth Airport. This is an exciting time for the airport as we prepare for Summer 2025 and the launch of Jet2's operations.
In this role, you will be responsible for leading operational teams, guiding day-to-day activities, and ensuring everything runs smoothly while focusing on customer service excellence. You will support the airport's continued growth and play a key role in delivering operational excellence as we prepare for the busy period ahead.
Operational Planning & Risk Management:
* Stay ahead of potential risks by understanding operational planning and preparing options to address any challenges.
* Ensure everything aligns with the airport's goals and policies.
Operational Leadership:
* Work closely with teams on the day-to-day operations, ensuring they are set up for success.
* Monitor performance, anticipate risks, and find ways to keep things running smoothly, implementing contingency plans as required.
Stakeholder Engagement:
* Build strong relationships with all departments, airlines, project teams, and key stakeholders to ensure open communication and a collaborative approach.
* Act as a key point of contact for ensuring smooth operations across the airport, acting as the Managing Director's representative during operational hours.
Incident Response:
* Step in when needed to provide guidance during incidents or performance challenges.
* Ensure that responses are coordinated effectively and clear communication is delivered to passengers and all key stakeholders.
Change Management:
* Lead and manage operational changes that improve efficiency and customer experience.
* Ensure these changes are communicated clearly and that any concerns from stakeholders are addressed thoughtfully.
Regulatory Compliance:
* Ensure that all operational changes and activities comply with relevant regulations and standards.
* Keep safety, security, and compliance at the forefront.
Post-Incident Reflection & Continuous Improvement:
* Aid in post-event debriefs to capture lessons learned.
* Use these lessons to improve how we respond to future situations.
Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
