We are currently seeking a Territory Sales Manager to oversee our product line in the northern region of England. This role is essential for driving new business opportunities and acquiring customers, and it offers the chance to be part of a dynamic, international team.
Salary: £40-48K basic + up to £12K bonus.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage relationships with existing customers while actively generating new business through prospecting, lead generation, and diligent follow-up.
* Effectively oversee the sales territory across a diverse range of industries and applications.
* Lead sales negotiations and manage various sales projects.
* Assist in developing customer applications to maximize satisfaction and success.
* Represent the company at conferences and exhibitions.
* Collaborate on marketing communications strategies targeting customers.
* Conduct regular site visits to present sales pitches, demonstrate instruments, and provide training on equipment usage.
Qualifications:
* A degree (or equivalent) in chemistry, physics, or a related field is required.
* Minimum of two years’ experience in successfully selling analytical instruments or similar capital equipment. Experience with microwave technology, FTIR, or Raman Spectroscopy is advantageous, though comprehensive training will be provided.
* Proven track record in acquiring new customers in a sales or business development capacity.
* Familiarity with sample preparation techniques for spectroscopic analysis is preferred.
* Strong communication and negotiation skills.
* Ability to engage effectively with laboratory managers, professors, PhD scientists, and technical staff.
* Willingness to travel within the UK and occasionally abroad for training and business engagements.
* Residing in a central location in the north of England with easy access to major roadways.
