Tennial Personnel is seeking a highly skilled and professional Contract Manager to join our client’s team in Felixstowe. This is a full-time, permanent role, operating Monday to Friday from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
This position offers the opportunity to lead key operational functions within a dynamic logistics environment while ensuring efficiency, compliance, and strong client relationships.
Job-Specific Duties
Health & Safety: Ensure the warehouse is maintained as a safe, clean, and secure environment for all personnel.
Warehouse Operations: Oversee efficient processes for the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods.
Inventory Management: Minimize stock loss or damage through effective storage procedures and regular inventory audits.
Space Utilization: Optimize warehouse space and ensure resources are adequately allocated, including staffing and tools.
Team Leadership: Conduct team meetings, deliver training, maintain job descriptions, and perform annual performance evaluations.
Compliance & Discipline: Enforce workplace discipline, monitor timekeeping, and ensure compliance with company and legal standards.
Material Handling Equipment (MHE): Oversee the safe operation of MHE by appropriately trained staff.
Customer Relations: Communicate effectively with clients to meet their requirements and achieve key performance indicators (KPIs).
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process optimization to improve overall efficiency.

Qualifications Required
Essential:
Educated to GCSE level.
Knowledge of key legislation and policies:
Health and Safety at Work Act 1974
Working Time Directive
ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards
Road Traffic Legislation
Managerial experience in operations and personnel management.
Awareness of health and safety in operational environments.
Familiarity with financial KPIs and routine compliance.
Desirable:
NVQ Level 3 qualification.
SPA certification.
Skills in man management, time management, and safety management.
