The Role:We are seeking a passionate and experienced Registered Manager to oversee the operation of two residential children’s homes in Sheffield. These homes will cater to children and young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and Learning Disabilities (LD), utilizing therapeutic approaches such as PACE to ensure their needs are met in a supportive and safe environment. We are willing to consider candidates with both Ofsted or CQC experience.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage two residential children’s homes, ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulations and standards.
* Lead, motivate, and manage a dedicated team of staff.
* Build strong relationships with children and young people, promoting their wellbeing.
* Develop and review care plans tailored to each child’s needs.
* Lead the referral and matching process for placements.
* Liaise with social workers, families, and external agencies.
* Provide leadership in safeguarding practices.
* Manage challenging behaviour and promote a positive environment.
* Oversee Reg 44 visits and assist with Ofsted inspections.
Requirements:
* Experience: At least 1 year as a Manager in a residential home, with a track record of achieving positive outcomes.
* Qualifications:
o Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care or equivalent (or working towards).
o Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent is desirable.
o Experience managing or working with children with EBD and/or LD.
* Skills and Knowledge:
o In-depth knowledge of Ofsted regulations and Children’s Act.
o Understanding of safeguarding processes.
o Ability to handle challenging behaviour effectively.
o Strong leadership and management skills.
o Experience conducting fit-person interviews and maintaining Ofsted registration.

o Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
