Teaching Assistant (Level 2) - January - 2025
Teaching Assistant (Level 2)
Sir John Nelthorpe School is a vibrant and inclusive school dedicated to providing a nurturing and stimulating environment for all pupils. Our mission is to foster academic excellence, personal growth, and a love for learning. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our dynamic team and support our students in reaching their full potential.
As a Teaching Assistant at Sir John Nelthorpe School, you will play a crucial role in supporting teachers and enhancing the educational experience of our pupils. Your primary responsibility will be to assist in the delivery of engaging lessons, provide one-on-one support to pupils, and contribute to the overall positive atmosphere of the school.
1. Assist teachers in preparing and delivering lessons.
2. Provide individualized support to pupils, including those with special educational needs.
3. Help maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
4. Support pupils with their academic and social development.
5. Assist with the preparation of teaching materials and classroom resources.
6. Supervise pupils during breaks, lunchtime, and school activities.
7. Work collaboratively with teachers and other staff to ensure the well-being of all pupils.
8. Perform administrative tasks as needed.
Whilst previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar educational role is preferred, it is not essential; however, you should have a genuine passion for working with young people and helping them succeed. You will need excellent communication and interpersonal skills, have the ability to work effectively as part of a team, and possess patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
In return, we will provide a supportive and friendly working environment with excellent opportunities for professional development and training, and most importantly, the chance to make a real difference in the lives of young people.
If you are enthusiastic, dedicated, and ready to contribute to the success of our pupils, we would love to hear from you. Please complete the standard North Lincs application form. We look forward to receiving your application by post or by email to admin@nelthorpe.org.uk by Monday 6th January at 9:00am.
Sir John Nelthorpe School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful applicant will be subject to an enhanced DBS check and supportive reference.
We are an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from all suitably qualified persons regardless of their race, sex, disability, religion/belief, sexual orientation, or age.
