Can you deliver Humanties subjects to students that have a strong interest in learning? About the Role: In this position, you will teach History, Geography or Religious Education to students across Key Stages 4 and 5. You will plan and deliver lessons that meet the needs of all students, using your strong subject knowledge and clear communication. Effective behaviour management is key, as is the ability to differentiate lessons to cater to varying abilities. Your role is to support the department in developing the teaching and learning of Humanities in accordance with school policies and in pursuit of the highest standards of student achievement. Key Tasks: Prepare and deliver lessons to a range of classes of different ages and abilities Mark work, give appropriate feedback and maintain records of pupils' progress and development Research new topic areas, maintaining up-to-date subject knowledge, and devise and write new curriculum materials Prepare pupils for qualifications and external examinations Manage pupil behaviour in the classroom and on school premises, and apply appropriate and effective measures in cases of misbehaviour Communicate with parents and carers over pupils' progress What We Are Looking For: Strong knowledge of the Humanities curriculum and effective teaching methods. The ability to adapt lessons to suit a range of learning needs. Confidence in managing classroom behavior and maintaining a productive learning environment. A team player who contributes positively to the school community You will need: Previous experience as a Geography Teacher. An Enhanced DBS on the update service. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Up-to-date knowledge of the national curriculum. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Commitment to fostering a positive learning environment and promoting student well-being.
