The Nurse in the High Acuity Unit is responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients with complex medical conditions who require intensive monitoring and intervention. This role involves collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe and effective patient management, while promoting a supportive environment for patients and their families. The High Acuity Team would like applications from a confident, competent and enthusiastic Nurse looking for continued professional development within a supportive, friendly team environment.
• Patient Care: Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in the High Acuity Unit, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing interventions.
• Monitoring: Continuously monitor patients' vital signs and clinical status, recognizing and responding to changes in condition promptly.
• Collaborative Practice: Work closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualised care.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities, assessments using clear A to E, and outcomes in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
• Patient Education: Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding their conditions and care plans, ensuring they understand treatment options and self-care strategies.
• Infection Control: Adhere to infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
• Professional Development: Engage in continuous professional development and training opportunities to enhance nursing skills and knowledge in high-acuity patient care.
