TIG Welder – Sheet Metal Fabrications
ITP Aero UK are recruiting for a Welder to join our growing team in Hucknall - UK on a full-time permanent basis, 37 hours per week.
Your main responsibilities / What you will do:
* Completing practical welding tasks in accordance with the production plan.
* Working with a team to deliver customer requirements.
* Understanding and identifying basic welding defects.
* Understand the importance of equipment calibration, and how it fits into the welding process.
* Understand measuring and correcting procedures.
Who we are looking for:
* Possesses a recognised time-served apprenticeship within an Engineering discipline at NVQ Level 3, City and Guilds Level 3, or BTEC national or equivalent qualification.
* It is desired that the candidate has experience in TIG welding Titanium to coded / aerospace standards.
* Can demonstrate a flexible and adaptable mind-set and be willing to develop new skills. On the job and classroom training will be provided.
* Understands the importance of ensuring a clean and safe environment is maintained in the workplace.
* Has a professional approach, with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively at all levels.
* Has up-to-date working knowledge of health, safety (including COSHH) and environmental procedures.
* Knowledge of quality tools, systems, and procedures; good interpersonal skills; has worked in a customer-focused environment that is subject to change; has worked to set deadlines to achieve performance targets and customer delivery commitments; has participated in continuous review and improvement processes.
Who will I work with?
You will work at ITP Aero’s Hucknall site, located in Nottinghamshire. Your team will comprise of professionals with extensive experience in the aerospace manufacturing industry, consisting of a skilled workforce and integrated Manufacturing and Design Engineering capabilities.
What are the working hours?
Following a 3-Shift Pattern:
Afternoons: 1.48 pm – 9.30 pm Monday-Thursday
1.48 pm – 7.00 pm Friday
Some production areas have the option of opting in to a voluntary 24/6 shift pattern once suitably trained.
