The position
As a Financial Accounting Manager in our Gatwick office, you will be responsible for leading and managing the Financial Accounting department for 3 legal entities: the main UK sales marketing affiliate, Novo Nordisk Holding Limited and Novo Nordisk Research Centre of Oxford. Therefore, you will provide accurate and timely financial information for the business, including ensuring that finance processes follow all relevant internal and external accounting and taxation regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the preparation and accuracy of the whole financial reporting process, from start to end, of the 3 legal entities.
2. Manage the financial accounting team, providing leadership and support.
3. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
4. Develop and implement financial policies and procedures.
5. Collaborate with other departments to support strategic decision-making.
6. Mentor and train team members, locally and globally, to enhance their professional development.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you are educated to degree level in Accounting, Finance, or related field and you are ACA/ACCA or at least CIMA certified.
The ideal candidate must have:
1. Proven track record in financial reporting and accounting, complemented by hands-on experience in change management in a high complex environment.
2. Proven experience in preparing financial statements, Month-End and Year-End Closing, variance analysis, cost controlling, consolidation of financial data from multiple departments, divisions, or subsidiaries.
3. Minimum of 3-5 years in a people management role, with experience leading a multicultural team.
4. Strong knowledge of UK accounting standards and regulations.
5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
6. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both external and internal stakeholders at all levels.
