About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Practice Manager to join our senior leadership team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong management expertise who is passionate about supporting veterinary teams and ensuring the delivery of exceptional animal care.
As Practice Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of our veterinary practice, working closely with the clinical team to maintain efficient workflows and provide outstanding patient care. Your responsibilities will include managing the practice’s financials, overseeing staffing, and maintaining equipment and facilities. Most importantly, you will foster a positive and client-focused environment for both staff and patients.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Management:
Manage practice income and expenses effectively.
Oversee insurance claims, billing, and banking processes.
Collaborate with the Clinical Director to achieve financial goals.
2. Operational Management:
Ensure smooth day-to-day operations across clinical and administrative workflows.
Address operational challenges promptly to minimize disruptions.
3. Staffing and HR:
Lead recruitment, training, and development of practice staff.
Foster a supportive and motivated team environment.
Ensure high employee satisfaction and retention.
4. Health and Safety:
Work with the Health and Safety Partner to maintain compliance with veterinary protocols.
Ensure a safe environment for staff and patients.
5. Facility and Equipment Management:
Oversee maintenance of the practice’s facilities and equipment.
Manage inventory and ensure resources are available for high-quality care.
6. Client Experience:
Promote a welcoming and professional environment for clients and their pets.
Handle client complaints or concerns promptly and professionally.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone with excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills. Experience in a veterinary practice is highly desirable, but we also welcome applications from candidates with relevant experience in healthcare or other similar fields.
