An opportunity has arisen to work as a Property Executive overseeing the corporate estate of the council in the District of Folkestone & Hythe. This includes a wide variety of assets ranging from standard commercial property classes to more unique real estate such as beach huts and football clubs. The estate encompasses beaches, country parks, play areas, and the proposed Otterpool Park Garden Town. You will facilitate effective management of the property portfolio, maximising revenue and delivering excellent customer service to all stakeholders.

The role
The Property Executive will be part of a small team responsible for managing the council’s corporate property estate. You will lead on marketing and new lettings, assignments, sub-lettings, lease renewals, rent reviews, and re-gearing of leases to ensure that the estate income of £2m pa is maximised. You will advise council tenants, officers, members, and the public on the Council’s land and property interests, rights, and responsibilities. This will include writing briefing notes, reports, emails, and legal instructions as required. You will conduct property inspections and ensure compliance with regulations.
About You
The key qualifications, skills, and experience required for this role:
* A minimum of three years recent and relevant experience in property management
* Experience negotiating commercial landlord and tenant matters
* Working knowledge of commercial landlord and tenant legislation
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills when working with all stakeholders
