Job Title: Smart Metering Engineer
Location: Exeter
Working Hours: 40 hours per week
Salary: £40,450 basic, with the potential to earn an additional £100 per month in attendance bonus
Additional: Van, Fuel Card, Tools, PPE provided
Purpose of the Role
The primary objective of this role is to install Dual Fuel Smart Meters in domestic residential properties, ensuring top-quality service delivery and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Install Smart Meters in domestic properties (Dual Fuel)
Manage and maintain stock levels on the van or via 'dropbox' facilities
Provide first-class customer service and support during installations
Offer energy efficiency advice to customers
Ensure accurate and timely submission of worksheets
Collaborate with the Smart Metering Operations Manager to meet daily, monthly, and quarterly targets
Organise and manage own workload to meet company deadlines
Address and resolve customer queries in a professional and efficient manner
Perform other duties as required to meet the needs of the role
Flexibility in job responsibilities to ensure the successful fulfilment of the positionPerson Specification
Essential:
Excellent organisational skills
Previous experience in Dual Fuel Metering
Proven ability to exceed performance targets
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work calmly under pressure and meet deadlines
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Basic Salary: £40,450 per annum
Potential Bonus: £1,200 per annum (attendance-related)
Annual Leave: 22 days plus bank holidays

On-Call Pay:
Standby: £200 per week
Monday to Saturday: 1.5x regular rate
