At Work Lyf Group, we are recruiting for Locomotive Technicians for our global client based in Doncaster.
Role: Locomotive Technician
1. Carry out maintenance, repair, overhaul, modification, and fault finding on locomotives.
2. Lead engineer for contracts, projects, or tasks to support operational performance.
3. Participate in the Engineering Services On-Call Roster, providing technical assistance over the phone or in the field as required.
4. Update SAP system to ensure availability of parts.
5. Input data into the locomotive history tracking system.
6. Assist other engineers on the team.
7. Adhere to strict H&S policies.
8. Conduct audits in line with Company quality management standards and processes.
9. Work in accordance with legislation and rail industry requirements.
Qualifications & Experience:
* BTEC National Certificate Level 3
* Personal Track Safety certification
* Valid driving license
Hours:
* 37.5 hours per week plus overtime at time and a half
* Shift pattern: Day (6:00-17:30) / Night (19:00-6:00), with 4 days off - 5 on - 5 off - 4 on
Benefits:
* Salary: £33,300 (depending on experience) + 20% shift allowance = approximately £39,960
